Coca-Cola is the leading supplier of cold fountain beverages and, if the rumors are true, will soon begin working its way to holding that designation in coffee and other hot drinks as well, says the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
John Sicher, publisher and editor of the publication (Beverage Digest) that broke the story said, "There is a ton of hot coffee sold in U.S. restaurants. If Coke can develop a better way of dispensing it and keeping it fresh tasting, it could have big potential."
Coca-Cola has yet to comment on the Beverage Digest report.
Moderator's Comment: What are your thoughts on Coca-Cola expanding its fountain business to include hot beverages?
Coca-Cola is intent on being the world's beverage refreshment company. If it can combine its fountain distribution strengths with a solid hot beverage program, it will have made a good start in making its goal a reality. [George Anderson - Moderator]
