Toys 'R' Us departments can now be found in some supermarkets. Soon, consumers will be able to find toys from the famous FAO Schwarz while shopping in Saks Fifth Avenue stores.
The New York Post has reported the two retailers are looking "to explore several joint marketing initiatives, including the placing of seasonal Zany Brainy Kids and FAO Express shops in Saks department stores for the 2003 winter holidays."
Moderator's Comment: What do you see as the pros and cons of the Saks/FAO deal and others like it previously announced?
Richard Tilton, a bankruptcy lawyer and chief executive officer, Green Acre Financial Advisors told the Post, "The Saks relationship is a pretty positive signal that FAO will come out of bankruptcy in pretty decent shape." [George Anderson - Moderator]
