The established 501(c)(3) charity was created to honor the more than 300 expertly
trained dogs and handlers that came from as far as California and Utah to search
Ground Zero. It is sponsored by The American Kennel Club and AKC Companion Animal
Recovery.
The toy comes in the three breeds used most often in search and rescue operations: German Shepherd, Labrador Retriever, and Bloodhound. Each one comes with a removable red, white and blue bandanna and an embroidered DOGNY logo. The suggested retail pricing for the toys are from $4.99 to $6.99.
