Heinz Introduces Upside-down Squeeze Container

Heinz has unveiled its Heinz Easy Squeeze, a new, upside-down squeezable container, which is due to hit supermarket shelves this summer.

Heinz Easy Squeeze is designed with a stay-clean cap featuring a patented silicone valve that helps direct ketchup flow. The new, clear plastic bottle will begin shipping in July in 20-ounce and 32-ounce packages.

Moderator Comment: Will Heinz’ upside-down ketchup be successful? What other packaging innovations do you see great promise in?

Upside-down worked for toothpaste containers. Makes sense here. Wonder if this means never having to hit the ketchup bottle again? [George
