Earlier in the week in his The Practical Futurist column, Michael Rogers wrote, "Over the past couple of weeks I’ve noticed that almost no one I talk to is optimistic about the future of their particular calling, even assuming an eventual general economic upturn."
Mr. Rogers questions whether this "across-the-board pessimism" as he calls it is something new in the national attitude towards what the future may bring.
