Asda announced earlier in the week that the chain's shoppers can purchase auto, home and travel insurance through the retailer.
David Rutley, director of financial services, Asda said "Our aim is to give consumers what they really want - hassle-free insurance at ASDA prices, that deliver great customer service on demand."
Shoppers will initially be able to purchase policies over the phone. Asda plans to make policies available online later in the year.
Asda has also confirmed it is considering offering additional financial services such as credit cards and personal loans.
