Stater Bros. Markets is the 542nd largest company in the US, according to Fortune magazine. The California supermarket chain is the 12th largest business within the food and drug retail industry.
Jack Brown, chairman, president and chief executive officer, Stater Bros. said in a prepared statement, "Our loyal customers and the great communities we serve made it possible for this 'Hometown' Company to make the Fortune 500 publication."
