Divided Court Upholds Class Action Suit Against Wal-Mart

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit voted by a six to five margin to approve a class action suit allowing thousands of female employees to sue Wal-Mart Stores for allegedly paying them less than their male counterparts and passing them over for promotions. The retailer plans to ask the Supreme Court to review the ruling.
