Dollar stores vie for greater share of the grocery market

Dollar stores have increased their emphasis on consumables in recent years, and consumers looking to stretch their food dollars are increasingly shopping at Dollar General and Family Dollar. More than 20 percent of consumers currently buy groceries in dollar stores, according to Foresight.
