Dunkin’ Adds 3 New Menu Items to Its Spring Refresh

Dunkin’ has added three new items to its menu, proving that it’s ready to take on Starbucks and other competitors.

Allrecipes reports that the iconic coffee chain is introducing a new beverage, a new donut, and a special seasonal Munchkins bucket with an entirely new flavor.

First up is the expansion of the Dunkin’ Energy beverage line, which debuted last spring. In addition to the popular Berry Burst and Peach Sunshine energy beverages, the company will now sell an Arctic Cherry Dunkin’ Energy beverage.

The fizzy drinks contain vitamins, minerals, and 144 milligrams of caffeine from guarana (for a medium-sized drink).

In addition to the new beverage, the popular coffee chain is introducing its first new donut flavor of the spring. Its new Cotton Candy Specialty Donut will transport your taste buds to the carnival. The donut is topped with pink strawberry-flavored icing and blue sprinkles, with blue cotton candy-flavored buttercreme in the middle.

Finally, the Easter-inspired Spring Munchkins Bucket has been added to the lineup. Following the success of its Halloween-themed Munchkins bucket (which resembled McDonald’s renowned Boo Bucket but included donut holes rather than Chicken McNuggets), the chain decided to make one for spring. The new bucket has an Easter motif with adorned eggs, including one that looks just like the Easter Bunny.

Dunkin’ Gave Its Customers Free Coffee for April Fools’ Day

While America has arguably surpassed the need to celebrate April Fools’ Day, the popular coffee chain rewarded its long-time customers with free coffee in celebration of the day.

Customers only had to open the Dunkin’ app and select the “Offers” tab from the menu. Then, they needed to enter the promo code ThisIsNotAJoke into the “Add a Promo Code” box and click “Apply.”

Customers who used the code received a free coffee or cold brew order, no jokes or strings attached. The promotion code was only active on April 1, though the free coffee and cold brew prizes are valid until April 8.
