Dunkin’s Partnership With Chef Nick DiGiovanni Breaks Guinness World Record

November 27, 2024

Dunkin’ has been a mainstay for decades, but its most recent partnership with Chef Nick DiGiovanni has broken a Guinness World Record.

A press release announcement from the company revealed that the coffee and doughnut giant’s latest partnership with the chef was in celebration of National Espresso Day, which was on Saturday, Nov. 23. Together, the pair shattered the Guinness World Record for the World’s Largest Iced Latte.

The record was shattered at the company’s Massachusetts headquarters. In addition to enjoying handcrafted iced lattes served from a gigantic Dunkin’ cup, guests came to celebrate the event. The company served all of the iced latte to over 300 Dunkin’ employees while standing more than 11 feet tall and loaded with more than 275 liters of ice, milk, and espresso.

Chef Nick’s social media channels are now showing how they reached this milestone.

Dunkin’ Frequently Engages in Celebrity Collaborations

The collaboration between Chef Nick DiGiovanni and Dunkin’ isn’t the first time the chain teamed up with a big name to spread the word. Back in September, the coffee and doughnut giant partnered with “SNL” comedian Kristen Wiig to announce the nationwide rollout of the Dunkalatte.

Inspired by the traditional Rhode Island beverage, coffee milk, the new beverage “delivers a one-of-a-kind flavor experience,” according to a press release.

The combination of Dunkin’s espresso, whole milk, and coffee extract creates a very smooth beverage that sips and tastes like a melty milkshake.

In the most recent commercial campaign, well-known comedian and actress Kristen Wiig, adding her signature comedy, positions herself as the official spokesperson for the Dunkalatte. A new chapter in the firm’s cinematic world is ushered in by her funny journey to become the face of its newest innovation. The commercial also maintains the chain’s partnership with Artists Equity, the production company that Matt Damon and Ben Affleck created.

“When we first created the Dunkalatte, we knew we had something special on our hands, but introducing coffee milk — an unfamiliar concept to most — was a challenge. Finally, we thought, a drink this delicious deserved to be named after ourselves. From that moment, we made it our mission to make everything about the Dunkalatte as ‘Dunkin’ as possible — fun, approachable and totally crave-worthy,” said Jill McVicar Nelson, chief marketing officer at Dunkin’, in a statement accompanying the press release. “With Kristen Wiig’s humor and playful energy, she was the perfect partner to help bring that vision to life and keep our guests laughing and sipping — because that’s the Dunkin’ way to latte.”
