Elon Musk in Bali To Launch Starlink Satellite Internet Service

Elon Musk, the visionary entrepreneur behind Tesla and SpaceX, touched down in Indonesia’s picturesque island of Bali on Sunday, embarking on a mission to introduce Starlink satellite internet service to the vast archipelago nation.

His visit coincides with a landmark ceremony alongside Indonesian President Joko Widodo, scheduled to take place at a public health clinic in Denpasar, Bali’s provincial capital.

Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, Indonesia’s coordinating minister of maritime and investment, extended a warm welcome to Musk, emphasizing the significance of enhancing connectivity in crucial sectors like health and education. While details of the agreement between the Indonesian government and SpaceX remain undisclosed, Pandjaitan hinted at Starlink’s commitment to providing affordable, high-speed internet services to underserved and remote regions.
