Etsy to acquire fashion resale app Depop

Etsy has reached a deal to acquire Depop, a fashion resale app that appeals to Gen Z consumers, for $1.6 billion in cash. The deal, which is expected to close in the third quarter, provides Etsy with greater access to the growing secondhand product sales market.
