Fast Food Holiday Merch From Chick-fil-A, White Castle, and Shake Shack Takes Aim at Brand Superfans

November 28, 2024

Caught up in the festive spirit for the holidays and also a fast food superfan?

Good news is in store. As Restaurant Business reported, fast food-branded holiday merch offerings are a trend that’s here to stay, as restaurants ranging from Chick-fil-A to Shake Shack enter the market to supply apparel and accessories to their most loyal customers — at a price.

White Castle’s House of Crave Holiday Update

White Castle may be famous for its sliders (and other menu items), but it also has a curated collection of merchandise within its House of Crave, which was recently revamped just in time for the holiday season.

If you’re all set on stocking stuffers but lacking a stocking to fill, White Castle has you covered. For $12, you can pick up a small stocking covered in burgers, fries, and snowflakes — as well as the iconic parapet logo.

Looking to give, rather than to receive? You might want to consider gifting a foodie friend White Castle’s Sloppy Joe Slider puzzle. It’s 285 pieces and looks delicious, but isn’t edible.

For those looking to deck out their Christmas tree, White Castle recently released a “Seasons Grillings” ornament, one bearing its logo on the reverse and a burger-and-snowflake motif on the front.

Chick-fil-A Goes All-In on Its Holiday Merch

Chick-fil-A had been America’s favorite fast food restaurant for nearly a decade before being dethroned only this year by Del Taco, as Allrecipes detailed, but that doesn’t mean the brand’s numerous fans have gone anywhere. And Chick-fil-A is offering up an extensive suite of holiday merch for those who just can’t get enough.

Hosting a holiday sleepover at your place? A Chick-fil-A indoor sleeping bag could be a big hit. Priced at $65, the quilted sleeping bag features a plush interior and proudly boasts the red-and-white comb logo all over.

If you’re in need of some fun wrapping paper, Chick-fil-A also has you covered. Pick up a 10-foot roll — which comes with four gift tags — for just $8. The brand’s famous chicken sandwich appears on the paper and as one of the included tags.

Shake Shack Selling Burgers, But This Time They’re Ornaments

If you’re more of a Shake Shack person, don’t feel left out.

Shake Shack is selling a cute felt ornament via its online store for $46. While the price may seem a bit steep, the restaurant assured buyers that the limited-edition Shackburger ornament was handcrafted (by NYC-based Craftspring), and was ethically and sustainably sourced. A Lady Liberty felt ornament is also available for those who prefer a more patriotic theme.

Those who are keen to have a Shake Shack holiday sweater hanging in their closet can have that wish fulfilled for $80. The bright green sweater is emblazoned with a bold burger-fries-and-shake horizontal pattern and is an 80% cotton, 20% polyester blend.

Will the Fast Food Holiday Merch Trend Continue?

No matter what your drive-thru preferences may be, it’s hard to deny that there’s been a continued proliferation of fast food-inspired holiday merchandise in recent years.

“While there’s no scientific body (that we know of) surveying such things… team members agreed they’ve never seen a holiday season with so much restaurant merch,” Restaurant Business indicated.

It appears that there’s a serious appetite among consumers for cheeky and fun products coming from a litany of restaurants from coast to coast, and that appetite has yet to be satisfied.
