Federal program aims to put more truckers on the road

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, part the Transportation Department, is launching an apprenticeship pilot program that will train people as young as 18 to become truck drivers. The legal age of commercial truck drivers crossing state lines is currently 21.
