FedEx has a 'what me worry' outlook on Amazon's logistics expansion

It seems that whenever Amazon announces a major expansion to its fleet of airplanes or deeper investments in doing its own last-mile deliveries, industry analysts predict the slow, painful demise of FedEx, UPS and the USPS. But FedEx CEO Fred Smith, in a call with investors earlier this week, wasn't sweating it. He insisted that FedEx was in fact expanding into new "addressable markets." Mr. Smith told investors, "We have very strong strategies, well understood by the management team."
