FedEx To Launch FedEx Easy Returns, Supported by Blue Yonder, To Provide a ‘Convenient, Hassle-Free’ Solution

March 25, 2025

FedEx might be best known for its delivery service, but with the support of supply chain management company Blue Yonder, the purple-and-orange brand is now launching a new service aimed at reducing headaches associated with product returns.

According to a March 25 press release shared with RetailWire, FedEx Easy Returns is set to launch a new box- and label-free returns service in the near future. FedEx Easy Returns is slated to be rolled out to 3,000 drop-off locations nationwide, hinging around the network of FedEx Office and Kohl’s stores across the U.S.

“FedEx is excited to launch the new FedEx Easy Returns solution to help provide a convenient, hassle-free returns solution to even more consumers in 2025,” said Jason Brenner, senior vice president of digital portfolio at FedEx.

“This new service, supported by Blue Yonder, expands our growing network of drop-off locations conveniently located across the country,” Brenner added.

FedEx Easy Returns Focused on Flexible, Convenient Return Process for Customers as Well as Merchants

The press release outlined that the impetus behind the launch of FedEx Easy Returns was to provide a streamlined returns process for both customers and merchants, starting with the lack of any need to provide packaging or printed labels on the customer side. Merchants can look forward to routing through a reverse logistics facility, which could reduce waste while also ensuring the speed and accuracy of each return.

“Returns are a critical part of the customer experience, and present a significant challenge to retailers, which is why we are excited to support FedEx with the new service to make returns more efficient,” said Tim Robinson, vice president of returns for Blue Yonder.

“Blue Yonder’s robust technology will be the driving force, allowing FedEx to power more retail counters and return processing centers across the U.S., further enhancing the convenience of the service. As a result, we’re able to offer a complete solution that improves returns processing,” Robinson added.
