Fewer job openings may swing negotiating power to employers

The number of open jobs for each unemployed American fell to 1.67 in September, down from 1.9 in July. "This is still very much a job seekers’ labor market, just one with fewer advantages for workers than a few months ago," said Nick Bunker, Indeed Hiring Lab economic research director.
