Former Kmart CEO Charged with Misleading Investors

The government is trying to prove that former Kmart CEO Charles Conaway misled investors about the company's financial health prior to it filing for bankruptcy in 2002. Former CFO John McDonald settled a similar case by agreeing to pay $120,000 in fines and not work for a publicly-traded company for five years.
