Amazon.com in April began adding a $5 fuel surcharge on third-party merchants who used its fulfillment services when gas prices spiked following Russia’s unprovoked attack on Ukraine. The company ended the surcharge as gas prices dropped, but has since increased its standard fulfillment rates for marketplace sellers.
