General Mills triples maternity leave offering

In recognition of employees' feelings of being "torn between work and home," General Mills will increase its allowable paid maternity leave for new mothers from the current 6 weeks to 18-20 weeks beginning in January of next year. New dads and partners will be allowed up to 12 weeks of paid paternity leave.
