Global warming is messing up supply chains right now

A record-setting drought caused factories to close in southwestern China last month, disrupting supplies of electronics and other goods to markets around the world. “What we just went through with Covid is a window to what climate could do,” said Kyle Meng, an associate professor at the Bren School of Environmental Science and Management and the department of economics at the University of California, Santa Barbara.
