Grocers will feel the impact of end of emergency SNAP allotments

Congress in December ended emergency allotments for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).  Eligible shoppers used the allotments, which added at least $95 in benefits on a monthly basis, to purchase additional food from food retailers in 35 states.
