Publix, Lidl, Lowes Foods and Sprouts Farmers Market are adding new stores this year in the increasingly competitive Charlotte, NC, market. Walmart, Harris Teeter and Food Lion are the three biggest grocers by market share in Charlotte, which currently has 722 food stores.
