IHOP, renowned for its pancakes, is introducing its biscuits menu nationwide for the first time, expanding its menu beyond its signature item. Despite diversifying its offerings, IHOP’s recent strategy has struggled to offset cautious consumer spending, with its latest quarter’s same-store sales growing just 2.1%. The chain hopes the new biscuits menu, featuring options such as breakfast biscuit sandwiches and a sweet strawberries and cream biscuit, will draw in diners, particularly as biscuit sandwiches are growing in popularity with consumers.
