IHOP’s National Pancake Day Is Here

February 13, 2024

National Pancake Day is here, and IHOP, the International House of Pancakes, is ready to celebrate. Today, Tuesday, Feb. 13, participating IHOP locations across the nation will be dishing out free pancakes from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

But wait, there’s more to this pancake bonanza than just fluffy stacks. IHOP has coupled this annual tradition with a month-long fundraising campaign called Stacking Up Joy aimed at aiding those struggling with food insecurity. Throughout February, patrons can add a couple of bucks or more to their bills, either in-person or online. For every dollar contributed, 10 meals will be provided to individuals facing hunger.

According to Lauren Biedron, senior vice president of corporate partnerships at Feeding America, this initiative is crucial. “Millions of people are working hard every day to provide for themselves and their families, yet nearly 1 in 7 people in the U.S. are unable to access the food they need to thrive,” she said. The partnership between IHOP and Feeding America is seen as a vital step toward combating food insecurity and nourishing communities.

Now, onto the nitty-gritty of the promotion.

IHOP’s National Pancake Day Details

Set to coincide conveniently with Valentine’s Day eve, IHOP’s National Pancake Day offers customers a complimentary short stack of buttermilk pancakes. It’s not just about enjoying pancakes; it’s also about giving back to those in need.

But before you sprint to your nearest IHOP, here are some things to keep in mind:

  • There’s a limit of one short stack (three buttermilk pancakes) per person.
  • Free pancakes can only be snagged between the promotional hours of 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.
  • In New York and New Jersey, a $1 donation is required alongside the free short stack.
  • Participation and operating hours may vary depending on the IHOP location.

So there you have it — get ready to indulge in some free pancakes while also making a difference in the fight against hunger.
