In huge global push, UberEats is on a hiring binge

Uber believes diversification beyond the people transport business will be essential to the kind of growth its investors expect, so the company is moving forward aggressively with its UberEats food delivery business with a recruitment push spanning at least 22 countries, according to Reuters. At present, Uber only operates in six countries. Uber will face competition, however. In Europe, for example, Britain's Just Eat and Germany's Delivery Hero and Takeaway.com are already on a roll.
