Potentially Biggest In-N-Out Burger Is Coming to Las Vegas. Here’s What We Know
October 15, 2024
What is likely to be the largest-ever In-N-Out Burger is coming to Las Vegas, and fans of the popular West Coast fast-food chain couldn’t be more excited. Here’s everything we know about it so far.
In-N-Out Burger Is Coming to the Vegas Strip
According to SF Gate, The BLVD, a gigantic soon-to-be shopping complex located on the Strip at 3755 S. Las Vegas Blvd., will house the 15th Las Vegas storefront on its third level. There will be 2,500 square feet of patio space in addition to a little over 8,000 square feet of indoor space for the In-N-Out Burger, making it one of the largest In-N-Out locations, if not the largest. To put things in perspective, the original site, which is now a museum and opened in Baldwin Park, California, is a meager 100 square feet.
This new spot is the only other In-N-Out Burger location on the Las Vegas Strip — the first is located at the Linq Promenade at 3545 S. Las Vegas Blvd., and it is much more conspicuously displayed. The third-floor indoor-outdoor In-N-Out will have views of the Strip, and it may just be the biggest yet on record. Among the largest of the burger chain’s existing outlets are those in Barstow, Glendale, West Covina, and Westwood Village, according to internet detectives.
After Sphere, The BLVD is the newest big thing to hit Las Vegas. The Las Vegas Review-Journal claims that the multiuse complex will be 400,000 square feet in size. Currently, leased spaces are held by Adidas, H&M, and Puma. Previously a Hawaiian Marketplace shopping center, the plot of land was purchased by Gindi Capital and the Cherng Family Trust for $172 million in 2019. In 1983, the Cherng family established the Panda Express empire.
According to In-N-Out Burger officials, construction usually takes about nine months from start to finish, following the announcement of the new location.
In-N-Out Will Never Be in NY
While fans of the popular burger chain love getting their periodic fix, East Coasters will never know the joy of having their very own In-N-Out Burger location — at least, if the heiress to the fortune has anything to say about it.
PopCrush reports that the 400+ sites of the massive fast-food chain are spread across the states of California, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Idaho, Texas, Oregon, Colorado, New Mexico, and Washington.
Unlike most fast-food establishments, this one is privately owned and not a franchise. It also uses food that is never frozen and is always fresh, exercising extreme vigilance to prevent overspending while keeping costs lower than competitors.
Given that In-N-Out Burger does not pre-package, freeze, or microwave any of its food, the restaurant must be 300 miles from a plant that makes hamburger patties or a location where one can be opened.
Tennessee would likely be the farthest east that Lynsi Snyder, the current owner and the granddaughter of the burger chain’s founders, opens an In-N-Out while she’s in control, she stated in an interview with NBC’s “Today,” according to Allrecipes.
“As long as I’m around, I’m probably saying never,” she said, referring to expanding into the East Coast.
In-N-Out Burger will also “absolutely” remain a privately owned company, Snyder confirmed. She is wary of being too big and is committed to maintaining cheaper costs than her rivals. “[We] felt such an obligation to look out for our customer. When everyone else was taking these jumps, we weren’t,” she continued.
Regarding a new Tennessee location, PopCrush verified that the fast-food chain’s first location will debut in the Nashville region sometime in 2026, making it the furthest east outlet to date. The company was founded in Los Angeles over 75 years ago, and both residents and visitors still find it to be a popular cult favorite.
