In-N-Out Burger Location Protested by Locals, Who Are Petitioning the Courts To Block Its Opening
December 7, 2024
In-N-Out Burger is one of the most popular fast-food joints in California, but a community in Woodland Hills isn’t pleased with a proposed new location.
KTLA is reporting that in the Woodland Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles, a homeowners organization is requesting that a judge put a halt to plans to construct a new location of the restaurant. The West Valley Alliance for Optimal Living is worried about the proposed placement of the well-known burger company, which is on Ventura Boulevard close to Fallbrook Avenue.
The organization wants to know more about how the In-N-Out Burger drive-thru might affect traffic, noise, and water quality because it is located close to multi-family homes.
A judge in the Superior Court of Los Angeles has been petitioned to stop the project until an environmental impact report is finished.
The homeowners have not received a response from the City of Los Angeles yet, and it is unclear when they will do so.
In-N-Out Burger Debuts Limited-Edition T-Shirt
Despite the pushback from the local Woodland Hills community, the fast-food chain remains popular amongst patrons. Recently, the California classic debuted a limited-edition T-shirt for devoted fans.
In the lyrics of the iconic The Mamas & the Papas song, the fast-food restaurant chain’s 2025 collector T-shirt celebrates “California dreaming,” according to The Orange County Register.
On the front of the black tee is a neon In-N-Out sign with the word “California” underneath it. The back has cars at sunset, with the ocean on one side and an In-N-Out drive-thru on the other.
Check the cars and pedestrians on the shirt for Easter eggs. Lynsi Snyder, the owner and president, appears to be driving one car, while her father, Guy Snyder, is driving the other. Digital artist Mr. Xerty, whose real name is Brice Chaplet, made it for devoted fans.
Made entirely of pre-brushed cotton, the T-shirt comes in sizes ranging from small to triple extra large. In celebration of the year that Snyder’s grandparents, Harry and Esther Snyder, launched In-N-Out Burger, the price of the shirt is $19.48.
It is sold in In-N-Out restaurants and the In-N-Out Company Store, which is situated at 13800 Francisquito Ave., Baldwin Park, near the site of Harry and Esther’s first drive-thru. It is also available for order on the website.
