Instacart Is Going Public. For Real, This Time.

Written byChase BinnieChase Binnie

Grocery delivery company Instacart is reportedly gearing up to go public in an initial public offering (IPO) as early as September, according to Bloomberg. While the company has previously attempted to go public several times, this new move comes amid a decline in demand for grocery delivery services, with online grocery sales in the U.S. down by 7% from a year ago. Instacart had initially aimed for an IPO in early 2021 but delayed its plans due to uncertainties surrounding post-pandemic demand for its services.
