Jamba Is Celebrating National Waffle Day. Here’s What You’ll Get

August 21, 2024

Jamba has announced that it is celebrating National Waffle Day on Saturday, Aug. 24, with weekend deals that offer double the points for customers. These points can be accrued and applied to future purchases. Let’s take a look at what else we know about the latest promotion.

Jamba Weekend Deals

In a press release shared with RetailWire, it was revealed that from Aug. 23 to Aug. 25, customers who purchase a waffle bowl will receive two times as many points. These points will accumulate and can be used on subsequent purchases for discounts and even freebies. Customers can join the points program for free and keep track of their points using Jamba’s proprietary app.

Some of the waffle bowls offered at Jamba include:

  • Tropical Waffle Bowl: Topped with bananas, juicy pineapple, organic granola, honey, and coconut flakes, this crunchy, creamy dish has a foundation made of Greek yogurt or coconut whip.
  • PB + Banana Waffle bowl with Chocolate Hazelnut: Topped with slices of ripe bananas and Belgian waffle bits, this delectable bowl can be made with nonfat Greek yogurt or coconut whip. With a swirl of creamy peanut butter, a drizzle of rich hazelnut cocoa spread, and crisp organic granola, each bite of this bowl offers a delicious combination of flavors and textures.
  • Chocolate-Covered Pineapple Waffle Bowl: With a base of coconut whip, Belgian waffle bites, juicy pineapple chunks, and a generous spray of velvety hazelnut cocoa spread, this fruity and sweet bowl combines tropical sweetness with a hint of decadent chocolate.
  • Strawberry Blueberry Waffle Bowl: Savor waffle bits, juicy strawberries, and bright blueberries nestled above your preferred base of Greek yogurt or creamy coconut whip. A last touch of crunchy organic granola completes the bowl, bringing together the ideal balance of creamy richness and fruity freshness.

Frequent Offers From the Smoothie Giant

Jamba isn’t afraid to participate in various promotions to entice customers to its stores. Over the summer, the smoothie giant announced that it would be participating in National Smoothie Day.

Jamba was in the lead after it announced a special offer on June 21. Jamba was selling 16-ounce Mango-a-Go-Go and Strawberry Whirl smoothies for just $1 each from 3 to 6 p.m. local time. This in-store-only offer was a great way to savor some of Jamba’s signature tastes for a much lower cost. New summer flavors from Jamba, including Watermelon Tajin and Lemonade, are also available until early September or while supplies last.

Jamba was also recently cited as a perfect example of how two different brands can fuse together to create a conglomerate that offers a new benefit to patrons. This sentiment is consistent with the industry’s broader trend, which has seen conglomerates such as Focus Brands effectively consolidating many businesses under one roof. For example, shared facilities have allowed businesses like Auntie Anne’s, Jamba, and others to flourish as a group.

Within the world of American chain restaurants, an intriguing experiment is currently in progress. It involves Applebee’s and IHOP, two well-known brands. These restaurant chains, which are both owned by Dine Brands Inc., are thinking about opening dual-branded sites where Applebee’s and IHOP coexist not just physically but also harmoniously, catering to a myriad of customers.

The idea originated during Dine Brands Inc.’s earnings call in March. Plans to investigate dual-branded venues with common back-of-house amenities and a flawlessly integrated front-of-house experience were revealed by CEO John Peyton.

This creative concept has already been implemented internationally. Peyton disclosed that the model has been tested in eight “prototypes” around the world. One such place is the most recent Applebee’s/IHOP restaurant, which opened for business in January in Leon, Mexico.
