Jobless claims fall to pandemic low

The number of Americans filing first-time unemployment claims dropped below 400,000 last week, the lowest total since the novel coronavirus pandemic hit the U.S last year. In related news, ADP reported that private employers added 978,000 jobs in May, up from 742,000 in April.
