KFC Is Reportedly Debuting Lickable Wrapping Paper. Here’s What We Know.

November 29, 2024

KFC is coming up with new and innovative ways to attract customers. The fast-food chain has reportedly come up with the idea of “lickable wrapping paper” for the holidays. Let’s take a look at what we know about this latest promotion.

KFC and the Lickable Wrapping Paper

According to The New York Post, KFC hopes that its new holiday product will be the talk of the town. For the holiday season, the fast-food restaurant chain has introduced Lickable Wrapping Paper.

According to the product description, the limited-edition paper tastes like KFC’s Original Recipe Chicken “with an aromatic pinch of sage from the sage and onion stuffing patty and a refreshing hit of cranberry sauce.”

“Despite the festive battle of the birds, at KFC we believe in chicken,” Phoebe Syms, brand manager at KFC UK & Ireland, said in a statement to the Daily Mail. “Introducing our first ever lickable wrapping paper … inspired by our epic limited-edition Stuffing Stacker Burger.”

The paper used for wrapping is “not intended for human consumption.”

It’s not recommended to lick any patches without a protective cover, but the lickable sections of the paper have one that must be peeled off in order to reveal the delicious patch.

Although all of the products used are non-toxic and appropriate for food, the business also stated that it “may require a few licks” to obtain the full flavor. However, the wrapping paper is not suitable for vegans or vegetarians.

The popular Stuffing Stacker Burger, which is offered on KFC’s Christmas Menu in the UK, served as the inspiration for the design of the wrapping paper, which was created by “emerging artist” SOLDIER.

Fans in America will have to use conventional wrapping paper because the fast-food giant’s Christmas collection seems to be limited to the UK and Ireland.

Christmas Menu…But Only in the UK

On Monday, Nov. 11, the Stuffing Stacker Burger, which had its eagerly awaited debut in 2023, was put back on the menu, but only in the United Kingdom. Sandwiched between a soft brioche bread are two original recipe chicken filets, burger dressing, lettuce, cheese, a spicy cranberry sauce, and a sage and onion stuffing patty. There is also a meal version that comes with fries and a beverage.

If you want the sandwich but aren’t quite that hungry, the Stuffing Tower Burger is a great choice because it contains all the same toppings but only one Original Recipe chicken filet.

The Stuffing Tower Burger starts at £7.49, or nearly $10, and the Stuffing Stacker Burger costs £8.99, or roughly $12.

The fast-food restaurant chain provides family meals for its fans. The Gravy Triplet Bucket and the Gravy Double Bucket are options available to families. The double, which starts at £19.99 (about $26), comes with six pieces of Original Recipe chicken, eight hot wings or six tiny filets, four regular fries, a dish of popcorn chicken, two enormous containers of gravy, and one bottle of drink.

If you don’t want to choose between the filets and the hot wings, you can get the Gravy Triple Bucket, which starts at £23.99 (about $31). Six pieces of Original Recipe chicken, eight hot wings, popcorn chicken, six small filets, four regular fries, two big gravy sides, and a bottle of your preferred beverage are all included.

However, KFC just announced the release of its holiday-scented candles as a consolation prize for Americans.

The candles were released as part of a cooperation with Homesick Candles. The partnership includes three exclusive goods made for the chicken lover in your life. The first is a chicken-scented candle, the second is a version that smells like buttery biscuits, and the third is a car air freshener that also smells like fried chicken.
