Krispy Kreme Offering 13-Cent Doughnuts on Friday the 13th

Krispy Kreme has announced that it is offering its customers the opportunity to purchase a dozen glazed doughnuts for only 13 cents for one day only: “Lucky” Friday the 13th.

In a press release announcement, it was revealed that the doughnut chain is making the promotion available to customers who buy a dozen doughnuts, or 16-count minis, at the regular price.

The 13-cent “Lucky Friday” promotion has a limit of one dozen per customer in-store and when ordered online for pickup or delivery via the Krispy Kreme app and website with promo code “13.” The 13-cent Original Glazed dozen is available at participating stores.

The doughnut giant is also encouraging customers to share their experiences with the promotion on social media.

Krispy Kreme’s Latest Promotion

Earlier this month, Krispy Kreme celebrated the 65th anniversary of Barbie with the release of a limited-edition themed doughnut collection.

Dave Skena, the company’s global chief brand officer, stated, “We’re excited to celebrate the Barbie brand’s 65th birthday with a collaboration that’s full of fun and flavor. We’re bringing Barbie’s iconic fashions to life through delicious doughnuts that are sure to thrill Barbie and Krispy Kreme fans alike.”

The doughnuts, which came in a custom box, included:

• Barbie Pink Doughnut: Inspired by Barbie’s iconic pink and popism, this Original Glazed Doughnut is topped with pink buttercream, sparkly pink sugar, and Barbie sunglasses.
• Malibu Dream Party Doughnut: This doughnut, inspired by the playful style of the Barbie DreamHouse, features an unglazed shell filled with Cake Batter Kreme, coated in Malibu blue icing and sparkly graham sand, topped with a Barbie DreamHouse decoration, and finished with a white cloud piped on top.
• Barbie Berries ’n Kreme Doughnut: This doughnut is as sweet as Barbie herself. It’s an unglazed shell filled with Strawberry Kreme, dipped in white icing, drizzled with pink and purple buttercream, and finished off with a Barbie heart.
• The Barbie Sweet 65^th Doughnut: Featuring iconic Barbie colors, this Original Glazed Doughnut is dipped in chocolate icing and topped with Barbie Sweet 65th sprinkles.
