Krispy Kreme Kicks Off 2025 With a Dozen Doughnuts for $12
January 3, 2025
Krispy Kreme has your dessert and snack options covered for a low price as 2025 begins. The chain is offering its customers a dozen doughnuts for $12, a dollar-a-doughnut deal that is a great way to start the new year.
From Jan. 3 through Jan. 5, customers can purchase either Original Glazed or Classic Assorted dozens. There is a limit of four dozen per guest when purchased in-shop, at the drive-thru, and online for pickup or delivery.
“As we close out 2024, we are so grateful for Krispy Kreme fans, including for their patience as we experienced problems with online ordering. Now that online ordering is 100 percent back, we’re saying ‘thanks’ with great online and offline deals to start the New Year right for all of us!” said Dave Skena, the doughnut chain’s chief brand officer, in a press release.
Krispy Kreme announced the reinstatement of online ordering by dropping a series of new deals. In December 2024, the doughnut chain experienced a cyberattack that led to operational disruptions, including online ordering issues across the United States.
Krispy Kreme’s Cyberattack Exposed the Vulnerability of the Doughnut Maker’s Cybersecurity System
In November 2024, customers in the U.S. were unable to place online orders as a result of a cyberattack. Krispy Kreme revealed the attack in a regulatory filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchanges Commission (SEC), according to Reuters.
Upon learning of the incident on Nov. 29, the company promptly launched an investigation. Collaborating with external cybersecurity specialists, it took action to minimize the impact on its customers.
“Krispy Kreme said the expected costs related to the incident, including the loss of revenue from digital sales, are ‘reasonably likely to have a material impact’ on its results of operations,” Reuters reported at the time.
At the time of the cyberattack, a message on the company’s website read, “We’re experiencing certain operational disruptions due to a cybersecurity incident, including with online ordering in parts of the United States. We know this is an inconvenience and are working diligently to resolve the issue.”
