Krispy Kreme Launches Festive ‘Grinchmas’ Holiday Doughnuts

To give a naughty and nice twist to the holiday season, Krispy Kreme has launched a line of “Grinchmas” holiday doughnuts.

Beginning Friday, Nov. 29, 2024, for a limited time at participating locations, fans can enjoy the dessert chain’s new “Merry Grinchmas Doughnut Collection.”

There are three all-new doughnuts, each based on a character from the Christmas classic “How the Grinch Stole Christmas!” by Dr. Seuss, as well as two returning fan favorites. In a press release, Dave Skena, the chain’s global chief brand officer, stated, “Who wants to celebrate Christmas with Krispy Kreme?! Our Merry Grinchmas doughnuts are guaranteed to make even the Grinchiest Grinch smile. At Krispy Kreme, you’re a sweet one, Mr. Grinch!”

Additionally, on Dec. 12, Krispy Kreme will continue to spread holiday cheer with the return of its annual 12/12 “Day of the Dozens.” This offer allows guests to purchase a $1 Original Glazed dozen when they buy any dozen at regular price either in-store, at the drive-thru, or online for pick-up or delivery.

Customers will have their choice of three doughnuts based on the holiday classic where the Grinch couldn’t find the spirit of Christmas in his heart. Eventually, the Grinch’s heart grew three sizes after he saw the Whos in Whoville celebrating the holiday even after he stole all their food and presents. He realized that Christmas is about more than just presents.

The doughnuts for sale at Krispy Kreme include the Grinch Doughnut, an unglazed doughnut filled with “coal” Cookies & Kreme filling, dipped in Grinch green icing, and topped with buttercream hair and a smirky grin made of chocolate icing. The second is the Grinchy Claus Doughnut: an Original Glazed doughnut dipped in chocolate icing, topped with white buttercream, Christmas crispies, and a Grinch piece. Finally, there’s the Cindy-Lou Who Merry Berry Tree Doughnut, which is an Original Glazed doughnut dipped in strawberry-flavored icing with a green buttercream tree that’s covered in sprinkles and topped with a star.

Along with the Grinch-inspired doughnuts, Krispy Kreme is also heralding the return of two holiday favorites. These include the Santa Belly Doughnut and the Holiday Sprinkle Doughnut.

The Santa Belly Doughnut is an unglazed treat filled with white Kreme, dipped in red icing, piped with a black chocolate Santa belt, and topped with a belt buckle. The Holiday Springle Doughnut is an Original Glazed doughnut covered in chocolate icing and festive sprinkles.
