Krispy Kreme Delivers Love to Doughnut Lovers for Valentine’s Day With ‘Hearts in Bloom’ Collection

Krispy Kreme may be famous for its assortment of sugary confections, but in honor of Valentine’s Day, the company is launching Cupid’s arrow squarely at the hearts of sugar-loving doughnut fans from coast to coast.

Presented in a snazzy flower bouquet-inspired box, Krispy Kreme has announced a collection of four new doughnuts perfect for that special someone in your life — or to keep all for yourself, should you so choose.

Krispy Kreme ‘Hearts in Bloom’ Collection Launched Jan. 27

For the month of love, Krispy Kreme decided to pull out all the stops. The “Hearts in Bloom” collection was launched by the brand on Jan. 27, and the individual doughnuts are described as follows, according to USA Today:

  • Blooming Heart Doughnut: An unglazed heart-shaped doughnut stuffed with Cookies & Kreme filling, featuring a purple icing dip and topped off with hearts in bloom sprinkles.
  • Love You Bunches Doughnut: An unglazed heart-shaped doughnut filled with Chocolate Kreme, dipped in red icing, and then accompanied by green icing stems and curled pink and red confectionary curls.
  • You Are My Sunshine Doughnut: Another unglazed heart-shaped doughnut, this time incorporating a caramel Kreme filling. Chocolate icing dons this particular sweet, along with a looping green stem made from icing capped off with a sunflower candy.
  • You Make My Daisy Doughnut: A fourth unglazed heart-shaped doughnut, complete with white Kreme and strawberry icing. Intricate yellow icing is paired with a cute little daisy candy.

The bouquet box is designed to hold eight of the limited-time sweets — two of each flavor — along with four of the Original Glazed Doughnuts that made the brand famous in the first place, per the Krispy Kreme website.

“Our Hearts in Bloom Collection is perfect for sharing love and appreciation for anyone special in your life this Valentine’s Day. They might like flowers, but they’ll love our beautiful and delicious flower doughnuts. They are perfect for sweethearts, family, friends and co-workers,” said Dave Skena, Krispy Kreme’s chief growth officer, in a press release.

The bundle is priced at around $22, at least in the New York City market.
