Kroger hit with broad credit card outage on Christmas Eve

Frustrated shoppers took to Twitter on Christmas Eve, complaining of long lines and "chaotic scenes" at Kroger locations because stores were unable to process credit cards. A number of unsubstantiated reports assert that the grocer experienced a nationwide credit card processing outage.
