Following a pilot in August, Kroger has launched a delivery service in Scottsdale, Arizona using unmanned vehicles, aided by robotics startup Nuro. The driverless delivery vans travel on public roads and do not carry human passengers. Kroger is offering the same-day and next-day delivery service for $5.95 per order from its Fry’s Food Stores in the area.
