Largest U.S. solar panel maker to spend $1.2B to expand capacity

First Solar plans to spend as much as $1.2 billion to expand its manufacturing capacity by around 75 percent. The company is looking to buy a new factory in the southeastern U.S. and plans to expand its facilities operating in Ohio.
