Little Bites Muffins Go ‘Biggie’ for Its 25th Anniversary
September 21, 2024
Little Bites has revealed a new, bigger size in celebration of its 25th anniversary, meaning there’s more to love in the treat bags.
A press release announced that the “Biggie Muffins” are now available in a larger-than-ever size. There are two exciting new pack sizes for Little Bites Biggie Muffins: a single-serve four-pack for convenience or eight muffins individually wrapped in four twin packs. Simply toss Biggie Muffins in a bag, store them in the workplace snack drawer, or eat them at home with a cup of coffee or tea, and you’ll have a tasty snack any time of day.
“Our fans grew up with the classic Little Bites muffins in their childhood lunchboxes, after school, and on sidelines. Biggie Muffins have allowed us to provide fans of all ages that perfect bite of nostalgia, now in a bigger size, just like them!” said Moira Flood, marketing director for Little Bites, in a statement accompanying the press release. “Biggie Muffins are the perfect snack for those with busy lives who crave a moment of sweet indulgence. We’re so excited for our fans to try them for the first time!”
Biggie Muffins are a “wholesome” snack option because they are produced with real chocolate, no artificial coloring, and no high fructose corn syrup. Each mouthful can be savored because of the larger size and delicious chocolate chip flavor that will satisfy any sweet tooth. Alternatively, customers can try the “Bring On The Party Cake” flavor. These muffins have a fluffy vanilla foundation and multicolored sprinkles, and they are free of high fructose corn syrup — it’s a happy mix that will make any occasion feel celebratory.
Little Bites’ Bigger Size Is Another Example of ‘More-Flation’
The move to make the popular snack muffins just a little bigger than they were before is the latest example of “more-flation,” a perfect antidote to the growing “shrinkflation” trend that has many an inflation-weary consumer hoping for better things to come from their favorite products.
Earlier this month, Domino’s announced a similar tactic to Little Bites and turned “shrinkflation” on its head. With a pitch dubbed “MOREflation,” the pizza chain is defying the idea that less is more.
A Domino’s press statement claims that by offering more food to customers for the same price, the company is resisting shrinkflation. For $6.99 apiece, customers can currently mix and match any two or more medium pizzas with two toppings from Domino’s. From Sept. 9 to Sept. 29, they may now upgrade one of their pizzas to a large for free.
“As a response to high inflation, many companies are shrinking products to avoid raising prices,” said Joe Jordan, Domino’s president of U.S. and global services. “We understand that consumers are looking for great-tasting, affordable meal options. That’s why we’ve taken our biggest and best offer — our mix and match deal — and made it even better by giving customers more pizza for the same price.”
