Long John Silver’s Launches Shrimp Specials and Decadent Oreo Cheesecake for Lent

Long John Silver’s has shared some tasty new deals. For customers who like to pair something sweet with a savory meal, the fast-food eatery has announced new shrimp meals as well as a sweet and creamy Cheesecake Factory dessert.

Per a press release, Long John Silver’s is celebrating Lent, a 40-day period when Christians prepare themselves for Easter. During Lent, Christians traditionally refrain from eating meat on Fridays — but seafood is permitted.

Therefore, beginning Feb. 24, Long John Silver’s is giving all customers the chance to enjoy a delicious meal for a great price. Its new specials include $6 Shrimp Baskets, with the option of either Crispy Breaded Popcorn Shrimp or six pieces of Grilled Shrimp, Batter-Dipped Shrimp, or new Coconut Butterfly Shrimp. All baskets come with one side and two hushpuppies, though the grilled shrimp are served on a bed of rice rather than with hushpuppies.

For $10, customers can also enjoy Shrimp Sea-Shares. These meals feature a choice of 15 Coconut Butterfly Shrimp, 15 Grilled Shrimp, 15 Batter-Dipped Shrimp, or a shareable serving of Crispy Breaded Popcorn Shrimp.
