Love’s To Upgrade 50 Stores, Open 20 New Locations in 2025

January 28, 2025

Love’s is set to upgrade 50 of its stores as well as open 20 new locations throughout 2025. This expansion will continue to increase the company’s footprint across 42 states.

The popular travel stop is looking ahead to a future that focuses on growth and innovation as the company continues to push ahead in its quest to be known as a one-stop shop for professional truck drivers and four-wheel, RV, and EV customers, as well as commuters and neighborhood residents.

“As we enter the year, we’re committed to continuing to enhance the customer experience for all,” said Shane Wharton, president of Love’s, in a press release. “This year, we’re excited to introduce new and updated locations, innovative food and drinks and continued improvement of the services and amenities we offer. With our continued focus on the evolving needs of customers, we’re confident we’ll provide an even better experience across our network in 2025.”

Love’s forward-thinking business plan is part of its Strategic Remodel Initiative (SRI). This initiative was first launched in 2022.

The SRI efforts will push forward a plan to remodel or construct from the ground up over half of Love’s 655 locations by 2035. The company also plans on renovating its food offerings to help motorists feel at home from the moment they walk in the door.

Love’s will continue to expand its Fresh Kitchen program via a new Culinary Innovation Center led by Greg Ekman, the company’s director of Fresh Kitchen strategy and growth. The center will be used to develop and test food offerings including tacos, salads, sandwiches, and snack trays. There will also be more branded items than ever before, such as fresh juices, candy, and flavored popcorn.

Finally, Love’s will continue to hire top talent to work in and manage its fleet of stores. It plans on increasing veteran hiring by 10% in 2025 as well as launching a hiring program for military spouses. The company also recently launched a Fuel Your Growth program, which offers free education opportunities for employees, ranging from GEDs to advanced degrees.
