Lyft is offering cheap rides to escape food deserts

Rick MossLyft is kicking off its new Grocery Access Program for qualifying families who live in areas of eastern D.C. that are underserved by supermarkets. The "Grocery Access Program," created in partnership with a local nonprofit, Martha's Table, will provide families with up to 50 rides per year to approved supermarkets for just $2.50 each.
