Macy's wants to build office tower above its Herald Square flagship

Macy's is looking to build an office tower above its Herald Square flagship store in New York City and is offering to invest $235 million in the surrounding area to gain approval to do so. “We’re ready to put this in front of the community,” said Macy's CEO Jeff Gennette. “It was something that we explored really over the last four years.”
