McDonald’s Unleashes the ‘Best Burger’

February 5, 2024

In an exciting development, McDonald’s has announced the nationwide rollout of its revamped “Best Burger.” This initiative has introduced subtle yet significant changes to enhance the flavor and overall dining experience for customers.

The upgrade doesn’t involve changes to the beef patty. Instead, McDonald’s has refined the cooking and assembly procedures. The grills now provide the patties more room to cook, with only six patties cooked at a time instead of eight. To ramp up the flavor, onions are added before the patties cook, allowing them to soak up the juices.

Customers can also expect hotter patties, better-melted cheese, superior-quality buns, and a more generous serving of the Big Mac’s special sauce. The combination of these improvements promises a warm, more delicious burger by the time it reaches the customer’s table.

McDonald’s first introduced the “Best Burger” around a year ago, and has already seen success in international markets such as Australia and Canada. It’s hoped the same positive impact on business growth will follow in the U.S. McDonald’s has ambitious plans to expand the “Best Burger” initiative to nearly every market worldwide by 2026, and “at McDonald’s investor day in December, CEO Chris Kempczinski said ‘Best Burger’ was on track to hit 70 markets by the end of 2023.”

The company believes these small changes will make a big difference to its customers, as denoted by the Hamburglar’s endorsement splashed across the McDonald’s homepage. In markets that already have the “Better Burger,” the chain “aired a TV commercial where the mascot touted the improved taste of the burgers.”

The fast-food giant’s quarter pounder remains unchanged in this revamp, as it received its own makeover in 2018 when McDonald’s switched from frozen to fresh beef. As the “Best Burger” hits the market, it remains to be seen if this new offering will drive significant growth for McDonald’s.
