Men's Wearhouse Wins Filene's Basement Bidding

All it took was $62 million for Men's Wearhouse to outbid Syms and Crown Acquisitions for the Filene's Basement chain. The new owner appears as though it will continue to operate Filene's under its own banner and will hold onto its flagship store in Downtown Crossing in Boston.
