More workers lose time after violence on the job

A database of workplace injuries finds that violence in American workplaces is on the rise. The Survey of Occupational Injuries and Illnesses found a spike in cases where an attack against an individual caused them to lose at least a day of work. Athletes and psychiatric aides were the two groups who faced the most significant number of injuries in the workplace. Retail did not make the list of workplaces most affected by violence.
