National Donut Day: Deals, Freebies, & More

It’s National Donut Day, which means that there are deals available all around the country for everyone’s favorite sweet treat.

Four days ago, Krispy Kreme unveiled its plans for the unofficial holiday. According to the company website, Krispy Kreme will make “Your Favorite Free” available to millions of visitors worldwide. This means that on Friday, June 7, Americans will be able to get any “favorite” donut of their choosing for free — no purchase required.

Additionally, at participating Krispy Kreme stores, a $2 Original Glazed dozen is available with the purchase of any dozen made in-store or through the drive-thru if you’re in the mood for more than one.

Dunkin’ also has some deals available for National Donut Day. Customers can get a free donut with each beverage purchase, and the chain is partnering with musical superstar Jelly Roll to spread the word.

Jelly Roll’s partnership with Dunkin’ also involves a limited-edition merch drop featuring hoodies and T-shirts.

The company has also announced a partnership with Scrub Daddy as part of its National Donut Day celebration.

“No one loves donuts and coffee more than Dunkin’ and our amazing customers,” Beth Turenne, VP of category management at Dunkin’, said in a statement. “National Donut Day is a special day for us because it’s all about celebrating that love and obsession. Plus, we get to share that joy by giving away millions of free donuts.”

Those who prefer their sweet treats from other donut chains can find deals there as well.

Shipley Do-Nuts is offering a BOGO (buy one, get one) promotion with all their donuts. Use code DONUTDAY24 online or in the app to get the special price. All customers who participate in the BOGO promotion are entered to win a year of free donuts from the chain.

7-Eleven customers, meanwhile, can get a glazed donut for $1 in stores nationwide, and this includes all Speedway and Stripes locations, according to Axios.

Customers who prefer to celebrate National Donut Day with a Canadian twist are encouraged to stop by Tim Horton’s, which is offering a free donut with each beverage purchase. This promotion is only available for Tims Rewards members, and it’s free to sign up if you’re not already a member.

The woefully underrated Voodoo Doughnut is also celebrating National Donut Day for those who want to celebrate the “Voodoo way” by offering a dozen of the company’s pink donuts for $10, thereby living up to its slogan, “Good Things Come in Pink Boxes.”

Finally, Duck Donuts, a company known for making warm, fresh, customized donuts right before your eyes, is offering a free cinnamon sugar donut for all customers on National Donut Day, with no purchase required. This offering is available in-store only.
