National recall issued for 120,000 pounds of ground beef

More than 40 ground beef products produced between Feb. 1 and Apr. 8 by Lakeside Refrigerated Services were recalled earlier this week due possible E. coli contamination. The strain of E. coli in the meat (STEC O103) typically causes people to become intestinalley ill between two to eight days.
